An afternoon of cultural diversity fun for families and people of all ages will include musical and dance performances, food from around the world, and children’s activities, crafts and games.

The festival will take place throughout the Rogalski Center. A main stage area will allow people to relax and enjoy musical and dance performances. Food and merchandise from around the world will be sold in the ballroom. In the children’s area, children will receive a passport to be stamped as they “visit” various countries by playing games, practicing with chop sticks and creating make-and-take crafts such as Mexican tissue flowers, Japanese origami art, Ecuadorian rain sticks and Russian nesting dolls.

“We were impressed with the great turnout last year and hope that we can make this year an even bigger success,” says Daniela Martinez, an SAU MBA student from Ecuador and president of BeeGlobal. “It’s a great way to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds without having to leave the Quad Cities.”

Beeglobal’s purpose is to promote diversity and unity by encouraging interaction between persons of all cultures on campus, educating the campus community about various cultures and reaching out to the larger community.
