General Education Course Distribution
Presently approved courses in Gen Ed have been allocated to one of the four disciplinary groups by the Gen Ed Implementation Committee. Course assignments are tentative subject to review by departments and approval of the final draft of this report to the Educational Policies Committee. Approved goals and objectives for each of the four disciplinary groups precedes the table listing course allocation. In a small number of cases, assignment to one of the four groups was not made by the committee and it is seeking additional information and clarification from the offering department. Pending review of this listing, all departments will be solicited to consider whether they wish to propose any additional courses for approval and addition to this list.

Mathematics, Physical Education, and Foreign Language instruction, are not
included in this table.
* MUS 101, presently approved for credit in Fine Arts, will not be assigned to
any of the four groups. The Music Department is considering modification
of this course and submission for later assignment.
** Three International Studies courses, IS 101, 103 and 210, have not been
assigned to any of the four groups. The committee is awaiting additional
materials and clarification as to how these courses address Gen Ed goals.
