Item 2 –MSOT Proposal (Master of Science in Occupational

- A motion to accept General
Education Revisions was made by DS.
- Seconded by JVS
- Discussion:
- The forms of assessment and
relative weights are course-specific; not from national standards.
- The additional courses can be
managed with overload contracts.
The program has an open position.
- The MOT program is accredited,
since entry-level programs are given accreditation. Different levels of a program, such as
the MSOT, do not get accredited.
- The MSOT program can be
completed in two years, but some students will take longer. The courses are not sequential, so
working students can take the courses when it fits their schedules. Future discussions will take place with
the Burlington Medical Center and Genesis to encourage cohort groups to
complete the program.
- Motion carried.
