1. Approval of Minutes – 2 sets

 

Motion to approve the minutes of Nov. 16: Corinne Winter ; Second: Barb Wiese

 

It was noted for the sake of clarification that the addenda to Nov. 16 minutes, comprising information on research projects by Pshych students, was not a part of the department’s Program Review.

2. Bill Hixon noted that we will meet on Feb. 1 for discussion of proposals by Social Work and Criminal Justice/CIS.  He supplied a schedule of program reviews, all of which have been scheduled.  Departments are reminded that materials for program review are due two weeks before the scheduled review. 

 

The committee expects additions to the schedule of programs mentioned by President Rogalski at the Jan. State of the University address.

 

 

 

3. Proposal:  By the Dr. of Physical Therapy program comprising revised course descriptions for the two courses on research and research methodology.

 

Motion to approve:  David O’Connell  Second: Barb Wiese

 

It was clarified that the projects will remain group rather than individual projects. 

 

As to pre-requisites, enrollment in the DPT program ensures that the students have sufficient background for the courses and the courses are taken in the proper order.

 

As to additional resources,  some databases have been added to the SAU system through the library.

4. Changes in EPC officers

 

Bill Hixon has additional teaching and chair duties in Biology and so asked that someone else chair EPC for the Spring Semester.

 

Corinne Winter will serve as chair.  Barb Wiese will take over the minutes.
