St. Ambrose first began offering graduate programs in 1977, when it began the Master of Business Administration Program. Enrollment at that time was 39 students. Today, more than 400 students enroll in the program each year.

Degree programs: 12 master's degrees and two doctoral degrees

Graduate student enrollment: 872 in Fall 2006

Newest graduate programs: Master of Education in Educational Administration, Master of Education in Teaching and Master of Science in Nursing Administration

Graduate classes are offered on the St. Ambrose University main campus and at off-campus sites in Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Clinton, Muscatine, Ottumwa, Waterloo, Quad City Graduate Center and Rock Island Arsenal.  

Accreditations: The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Number of specialized accreditations: 6

Options to take classes: full-time, part-time, day, evening, Saturdays and online
