Admission Procedure for J1 Exchange Visitor Students
When
applying to St. Ambrose University as an exchange student visitor you
will first be considered for academic admission. If admitted to the
university then we will assist you in applying for your non-immigrant J1
Exchange Visitor visa.
Below are some steps you must complete for admission consideration and
immigration processing:
* Completed
the school application (available on the web site);

Complete any forms required by your home institution;
*
Complete the Exchange Visitor Intake
form;
*
Submit your Official Records of all of your previous Marks (from
all previous institutions);
*
Submit your Official TOEFL Score or other generally accepted test
score of English proficiency
*
Completed and mail the Declaration of Finances Forms
with
supporting documents (found on the web site);
Current room and board fees can be found on the web site on the housing
web page . Please complete
a housing contract and submit it with the deposit as soon as possible as
housing is in high demand.
Exchange
Visitors are required to have health insurance while in the
US. Proof of coverage will be requested upon arrival. Health insurance must
cover the exchange visitor and any accompanying dependents and include: a
minimum of $50,000 per person per accident or illness, repatriation of
remains in the amount of $7,500, medical evacuation expenses of $10,000,
and not have a deductible of more than $500 per accident or illness. You
