This year, St. Ambrose welcomes international students from a variety of countries including but not limited to Germany, Croatia, Malawi, South Korea, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Australia, Peoples Republic of China, Taiwan, Japan, Canada, Russia, India, Jamaica, Lithuania, Brazil, Ecuador, Tanzania, Iceland, Norway, Ghana, Nepal and Vietnam.

International students can come to St. Ambrose as either independent students or as students whose home country school has an exchange agreement with St. Ambrose. Once academically admitted St. Ambrose University will assist the international student with his/her immigration process attempting to secure F1 status for independent students and J1 Exchange Visitor status for those coming through an exchange.

The International Student Services provides a variety of support services and resources for international students  (non-immigrant visa holders) and their families including advising in the following areas:
