Officer Job Descriptions:

Secretary:

·        Be point person for all membership communication i.e. send emails to members in coordination with other officers.

·        Manage membership list

·        Take minutes of each meeting and distributes (via email)

o   Must submit report no later than one week after the meeting.

o   Responsible for clarifying and noting action items given/taken and decisions made or tabled for later discussion.

·        Present  minutes incorporating any changes as a hard copy to officers during meetings.

·        Take attendance at each meeting.

·        Complete and turn in Student Organization Report each semester.

Treasurer

·       Track budget for all organization funds (detailed including; dates, all income, all expenditures, balances overall and in the checking account, and description of each transaction) at all executive meetings and as requested.

·        Balance the Wells Fargo checking account  monthly, providing reports as needed

·        Coordinate payment with other entities.

·        Work with President on fund raising efforts.

Vice president: Marketing and Website

·       Take on President's responsibilities when absent.

·        Manage website: oversee content and updates.

·        Work with VP for programming and other officers as needed on marketing events and activities.

·       Set up and oversee subcommittees as needed.

Vice president: Programming

·        Coordinate and oversee logistics and arrangements for all programming i.e. reservations, RSVPs, deposits and transportation with a goal of one program a month (either solo or cosponsored).

·        Chair the Bee Global Diversity Fest

·        Set dates for programs in coordination with SAU calendar and other organizations and departments.

·        Provide estimates about costs to officers for approval of budget.

·        Manage speaker bureau.

·        Work with secretary to communicate with members.

·        Work with VP: Marketing and Website to advertise all events

·        Responsible to make payments (through the Treasurer) related to programs.

·        Set up and oversee subcommittees as needed.

President:

·        Assist all officers in having the resources and information they need to accomplish their duties.

·        Engage membership in participating to identify future leaders. 

·        Call executive and general meetings.

·        Develop resources and raise funds for BeeGlobal.

·        Schedule and oversee the election process.

·        Develop short-term and long-term organizational goals, and discuss them with officers and present them to the general membership, getting feedback from all.

·        Develop strategy to achieve stated goals.

·        Build and maintain relationships with members, other campus organizations, student body, faculty and staff in addition to other international student groups in the Quad Cities and broader community to assist in accomplishing organizational goals.

·        Set up and oversee subcommittees as needed.
