BIOL 348 - Student Feedback Form

At the beginning of the semester, you read a paper by Alters and Nelson (Perspective: Teaching Evolution in Higher Education, EVOL 56:1891-1901) that described general attributes of the teaching of evolution in the university setting, and that indicated a pedagogy for teaching that was expected to be more productive of student learning.  You probably will recall that the authors argued that student-centered instruction, and a student-owned developmental process, were more effective in promoting student learning than traditional lecture-based pedagogies.  You have now had one-half of a semester to experience a classroom designed to utilize such a student-centered pedagogy.  I would appreciate your taking a few moments to reflect upon your experience in this course and to provide feedback that can be used in my development of course instruction.  Please note that your replies are confidential as you are not identified anywhere within the form nor by the process of submission.
