Basketball Camp
St. Ambrose head men's basketball coach Ray Shovlain has announced
the dates for his 2012 SAU Summer Basketball Camps. Several sessions are
available for boys entering grades 4-12 in the fall of 2012.

Kennedy repeats as
First Team All-American
Senior forward Mike Kennedy capped his fabulous career by becoming
the first two-time Men's Basketball First Team All-American in St. Ambrose
history when the NAIA released the Division II All-America teams.

Tourney first round
And just like that it was over. A 15-game winning streak, the careers
of six seniors and SAU's run at the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National
Championship all came to an end with a 75-72 overtime loss to Marian (Ind.) in
the tournament's first round.

Men's Basketball National Championship starting this week. The Bees open play

SAU to face Marian
(Ind.) at National Tournament
St. Ambrose will open the 2012 NAIA Division II Men's Basketball
National Championship Wednesday, March 7, with a 4 p.m. game against Marian
(Ind.).

After romping through the regular season and conference tournament, #15 St.
Ambrose cleaned up when the Midwest Collegiate Conference announced its 2011-12
men's basketball awards. The 25-8 Bees earned the league's Player of the Year
(Mike Kennedy), Newcomer of the Year (Nicholas Frazier) and Coach of the Year
(Ray Shovlain) awards, and Chris Donnelly joined Kennedy and Frazier on the
10-man all-conference team.

Bees add tournament title
to regular season crown
After winning the regular season title by four games, it was only
fitting that St. Ambrose close out the Midwest Collegiate Conference Men's
Basketball Tournament with a dominating performance. And the Bees did just that,
dismantling #7 seed Grand View 84-55 in Sunday night's championship game.
