Dean Marple is a professor in the Secondary Education Department.  After a career as a junior high social studies teacher, principal, and high school history/government teacher, he came to St. Ambrose in 1989.  At present he teaches middle school and secondary education courses in addition to serving as a co-advisor for students seeking secondary (grades 5-12) teaching endorsements in history, American government, and middle school.  His main interests focus on the physical, cognitive, and social development of middle school age students.
