 Habitat for Humanity
Our
Mission:
The Saint Ambrose University Campus Chapter of Habitat for
Humanity International is a Christian housing organization
that seeks to alleviate deserving individuals and families
from the clenches of impoverished housing and to make decent
shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites
people from all walks of life to work together in
partnership to help build houses with families in need.
Importance of clean, decent, and
stable housing
Habitat for Humanity has shown
that building homes does more
than put a roof over someone’s
head. In clean, decent, stable
housing:
- Families
can provide stability for
their children.
- A
family’s sense of dignity
and pride grow.
- Health,
physical safety, and
security improve
- Educational and job
prospects increase.
