Meet the Staff
Veronica
Riepe
Director of Student Activities

Veronica is a graduate of Loras College, Dubuque, Ia., with a degree in
finance. She did her masters work at Emporia State University, Emporia,
Ka., and graduated in May 1997 with a master of science degree in
counselor education and student personnel services.
While at Emporia State, she was an alumni affairs intern, conference and
scheduling intern, and residence hall director from 1995-1997. At
Ambrose, Veronica is the advisor for the Student Government Association,
Campus Activities Board and Omicron Delta Kappa. In addition, she serves
as the administrative advisor to recognized student organizations,
serves on the orientation committee,
Galvin Fine Arts Center Programming Committee, and most recently, the
University Center Planning Committee. She is also a member of SAAT, St.
Ambrose's Sexual Assault Advocacy Team.
Veronica has presented a number of workshops and educational sessions,
including "If It Ain't Broken: Make It Even Better" and "Mary Kay vs.
Old Spice: Communication Battle of the Sexes" at the regional and
national NACA conferences.
Michael Dixon

Michael Dixon
is originally from Havelock, North Carolina. He graduated from NC
State University in 2004 with a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies
(Philosophy & Race). He also graduated from Grand Valley State
University in Allendale, MI in 2007 with a M.Ed. in General Education,
College Student Affairs Leadership. He has had various
professional student affairs experiences in housing/residence life,
academic advising, campus recreation, admissions and,
of course, intercultural life. He's responsible for coordinating annual
Multicultural Week,
serving as primary advisor for Minority Affairs Community Action (MACA)
and working with student clubs and organizations with leadership
development.
Duong (Nam) Nguyen

Graduate Assistant - Intercultural Life/ Student Activities

Originally from Waterloo, Iowa, Nam graduated from
the University of Iowa in May of 2009 with B.A. in Psychology & Health
Coaching. While at Univ. of Iowa, she was involved with Big Brothers
Big Sisters, Academic Mentoring Program, Students-To-Assist-Recruitment
(STAR) and New Dimensions in Learning. She was also a research
assistant for the Department of Psychology and was selected as the
cultural diversity intern for Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
Nam is currently enrolled in the Masters of Occupational Therapy (MOT)
program.
