A bit about Johnny:
Par for the course, Johnny spent
the summer at Mt. Hawley C.C. in Peoria, Ill. There he put
his Sport Management degree to work organizing the pro shop,
overseeing tournament operations, and caddying for some of
the finest golfers in the Midwest. He heard the SAU fight
song calling him back to the Admissions Office where he was
a tour guide extraordinaire and a person that “just likes to
meet new people.” Johnny could not wait to come back to
guide prospective students through the admissions process.
“I cared about families I met giving tours and enjoyed
building relationships with them. I can’t wait to help them
even more as an admissions counselor. I do believe we out
care the other schools and that we are the best!”
What I look for in a
student: As a recent graduate, I
will be looking for students that resemble the students that
I knew at SAU — outgoing, community service oriented, and
fun loving.
What I like about my
job: Meeting new people on a daily
basis and helping them get to know everything this great
university has to offer.
My hobbies:
Golfing, attending sporting events, riding my bike, going to
concerts, watching movies and television.
Connections to SAU:
I graduated in May 2005 and it has been my second home for
the last 4 years.
Most commonly asked
question: Do you have to be
Catholic to attend SAU? And Johnny’s answer: St.
Ambrose University is a Catholic university; however, anyone
can attend no matter what religion you practice. SAU is a
diverse university, which draws people to it from all over
the country and the world.
