We’re
the first to admit St. Ambrose isn’t for everyone.
It’s not for those who want to get lost in the crowd,
who want huge lecture halls and a 15-minute walk to
campus.
Classes are
small and your professors will know your first name. With 2500 undergraduate
students, and close to 1400 living on campus, it’s nearly
impossible to walk across the Bishop's Quad without
seeing people you know.
The good news
is that you’ll make friends quickly, and being in the Quad
Cities, you’ll find plenty to keep you busy.
Play A Part
With more than 50
student clubs and organizations, it's easy to
find other people doing what you want to do. And if you
can't find it, start it yourself! You'll find a whole
team of support in your professors and advisors.
Making the
Play
All of our nine
men's and nine women's varsity athletics
teams are highly
respected in their conference. Our football and
basketball teams consistently win their conference
finals and go on to nationals. And if you're a sports
lover who's looking to pick up a game, St. Ambrose has a
wide array of
intramural sports (including PlayStation 2
tournaments).
Crash in
Comfort
When you're tired from a hard day of classes and
extracurricular activities, or just want to hang out
with your friends, you'll have your home away from home.
Known as the best college housing in the Midwest, St. Ambrose's
residence halls feature large rooms with cable TV and high-speed
Internet access, kitchens, private bathrooms and even housekeeping
services. (Now you don't even get that at home!)
Deepen Your
Faith
Among the most important things to explore at St.
Ambrose is your own spirituality. Through retreats,
interfaith celebrations and service-learning activities,
you'll have ample opportunity to examine what your faith
means to you and how the values that are important to
you can be lived out everyday.
