A bit about me: I love humor, love to laugh. I really want people to feel comfortable around me. I want to be able to hold a conversation with somebody I just met. I like meeting new people and learning interesting things about them.

20 QUESTIONS
1.) Why did you choose St. Ambrose? I chose St. Ambrose because of the highly regarded reputation they hold in the world of academia. Another reason would be because my grandfather went here as well as four of my uncles, six of my aunts, and five cousins, not to mention my dear old dad.

2.) Were you nervous about applying to college? I was a little nervous. I applied to seven colleges, including Iowa, Iowa State, Millikin University and Wartburg College. After touring all the schools I was able to relax.

3.) What was your biggest fear before you started college? My biggest fear was not meeting new people. I met tons of people right away.

4.) Describe a typical day in your life, pre-college: I worked a lot, and I played all kinds of sports with my friends and my little brother.

5.) How did you select SAU, and when did you decide? I decided to come to SAU about half-way through my senior year. It was a very close community feel, and I felt really at home.

6.) Before moving on-campus, had you ever shared a room with anyone before? Yeah, my little brother.

7.) One essential for every room: A T.V./D.V.D. player

8.) Your Ambrose experience in three words: Outstanding, memorable, advantageous

9.) Is your roommate messy or a neat-freak? He's not too messy at all. He's always clearning up after the messes I make.

10.) Any stories about your roommate? So far we've done some pretty crazy things, but one day all four of us got into a ketchup packet fight, it was ridiculous, we made a huge mess.

11.) What is the funniest thing you've witnessed at Ambrose? One day my roommates and I were walking to the cafe, and we saw two ducks, so one of them chased the ducks, but got attacked by the male, and got bit like three times. I couldn't stop laughing.

12.) During your first year of college, who did you call/email the most? My grandma and grandpa. They live real close so I would go to see them and call them a lot.

13.) Favorite faculty/staff member? I wouldn't pinpoint one...

14.) And if you could hang out with them, what would you do? ...but I would go somewhere with the whole admissions staff, like to a beach or some tropical party place. That would be awesome.

15.) Any nicknames? Jimbo, Jommy Tommy, Jims, Dr. Gimbel

16.) Favorite SAU class: Anatomy and Physiology

17.) Favorite book: "Scooby Doo on Zombie Island"

18.) What CD is in your CD player right now? Ludacris, Nappy Roots and Alabama

19.) Favorite movie: "Super Troopers"

20.) Advice to freshmen: Manage your time wisely, but still have fun.
