Transferring
Credits
SAU will accept up
to 90 credit hours from four-year colleges and universities.
From two-year or community colleges, up to 60 credits will
transfer. The Records and Registration
Office, along with
the student’s major department advisor, will determine
which of the transfer credits fulfill general education
requirements and major requirements.
St. Ambrose has
“2+2” transfer agreements with several programs within
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (Scott, Clinton and
Muscatine) and Black Hawk College in Moline, Ill. The
university also has course
equivalency information for Eastern Iowa, Blackhawk and
Kirkwood Colleges. Check with
SAU’s Admissions Office or the individual community
college for more information.
Academic standing
is determined as follows:
Freshman: 0-29 credits
Sophomore: 30-59 credits
Junior: 60-89 credits
Senior: 90 and more credits
