The Arts in the Quad Cities

The Quad Cities Community is a divergent place of cultural and artistic activities. Arts organizations such as Quad City Arts, an award winning agency located in the beautifully restored historic London building in The Downtown Rock Island Arts & Entertainment District showcase regional talent through exhibitions as well as workshops by internationally recognized artists in area schools and at other community sites.

MidCoast Fine Arts presents regional talent through programs such as “Art Under Glass,” a street level window display in downtown Davenport, and “Gallery Hops” in an effort to promote art through urban renewal, tourism and education.

The Figge Art Museum, established in 1925 as the first municipal art gallery in Iowa, offers one of the finest traveling art exhibition schedules in the Midwest, and houses more than 3,500 nationally and internationally known works of art.
