Art Nixon - Football

Inducted into Hall of Fame in 1986

Art Nixon was a four-year standout for the Bees in the offensive and defensive backfields from 1949-1952. During his time, the team had a combined record of 33-8 under coaches Moon Mullins and Frank Brogger.

Nixon won Little All American mention in 1951 after setting a total offense record, a record that has since been broken many times.

In their two Iowa Conference years, 1950 and 1951, the Nixon-led Bees (then called Saints) went 6-0 and 6-0, winning the title both years.

Nixon graduated in 1953.
