Earl Riley - Football, Wrestling

Inducted into Hall of Fame in 1986

Earl Riley was a four-year, two-sport performer for the Bees from 1947-1951. During his time playing football, the team had a record of 32-7 under head coach Moon Mullins.

Riley played on both the offensive and defensive lines, competing against the top small-college programs in the country. He played a vital role in the success of the unbeaten 1949 team and the 1950 team which set the single season victory record, winning 12 of 13 games.

Riley was also a standout wrestler for the Bees, posting big-winning seasons on the same team as Little All-American and St. Ambrose Hall of Fame member Art Michalik.

Riley graduated in 1951.
