Brooks reaches 1000 career kills

St Ambrose senior outside hitter Andrea Brooks recorded her 1000th career kill as a Queen Bee in the final match of the Bees Fall Classic against Calumet College of St. Joseph.  The Queen Bees (13-6, 2-0 in MCC) extended their winning streak to six straight.

Brooks was nearly flawless in the match, scoring nine kills out of 10 attempts with no errors.  For the day, she had 16 kills and no errors in 25 attempts.  She also added 22 digs, four blocks and four ace serves.  Brooks' performance earned her a spot on the Fall Classic All-Tournament Team along with teammate Alison Huss, a sophomore middle hitter from Bellevue, IA (Marquette).

Brooks, a Davenport North prep, has been a four year starter for St. Ambrose and a two year captain. She was a 2005 Honorable Mention Midwest Classic Conference selection and an Academic All-American.

Brooks should make a further mark in the SAU career stat list before season end, she is 256 digs short of the 2000 career dig mark.
