Fighting Bees a Touchdown Favorite

According to the predictions posted on http://www.naiafootball.net the No. 14 St. Ambrose Fighting Bees are picked to win by a touchdown over No. 3 Georgetown, Ky.  

"Upset special!  The defending national champs will bow out early this year, and will do so to one of the hottest teams in all of the NAIA," the web page states.  "Watch for the Bee's to attack again in the second round."

Head coach Todd Sturdy feels that it will have no effect on the game, but hopes that it will fire up his troops.  

"I'm gonna show my kids (the football team)," Sturdy said, "Hopefully it will fire them up."

Fired up is the least to say if you are from Georgetown, Ky.  It's not everyday that the two-time defending NAIA National Champions are picked to be ousted in the first round of the playoffs.  

"Well, at least one fool picked us to win," Sturdy said jokingly at the press luncheon.  "Georgetown is a great team, they're all great teams in the playoffs, and we have the opportunity to beat them."
