Fighting Bees Back On Winning

Iowa -- SAU has had an up and down season so far this year. Tuesday night,
the Fighting Bees were up again, defeating Trinity International 94-60,
improving their record to 2-2 on the season.
Trinity International scored the first
basket of the game, but after a Drew Bryant three-pointer on the very next
possession, SAU took the lead, and never gave it back up. Bryant scored 12
points on four of five shooting in the first half, including two of two
from the three-point line, to go along with five rebounds.
The second half was more of the same, with
SAU exploding for 50 points, while shooting 50% from the floor. The
Fighting Bees also connected on 43% of their shots from downtown. SAU was
dominant on the boards as well, winning the rebound battle 48-31.
The Fighting Bees were led by Tyler Ryan,
with 15 points, all but three on three-pointers. Ryan also had six
rebounds and three assists. Bryant and Fahrenkrog were the only other
players in double figures for SAU. Fahrenkrog finished with eleven and
three boards.
Josh Edmon led Trinity International (4-2)
with 24 points and six rebounds. Bobby Brown and Levi Arnold scored nine
and six points for the Trojans, respectively.
SAU will be try to get a winning streak
together Friday, as they'll travel to Clinton, Iowa to play in the Ashford
Classic, where they'll play Morningside College at 5:30. The Fighting Bees
will take on Goshen at 1:00 the following day in Day 2 of the Classic.
