2005: As a freshman, Ashley was the conference champion in the 800 and 1500-meter races. She helped the Bees to a second place finish in the MCC.

2006: In her sophomore season, the former Silver Streak continued to shine on the track as she captured three more conference titles and two school records. She was also named the team's co-MVP and helped the women to their second straight runners-up finish at conference. In her two seasons at SAU, Alvarez is 5-for-5 in conference races, reaching the top of the podium each time she's taken the track.
