Brand Finishes 21st at Nationals

SAU's Marcus Brand placed 21st at the NAIA Outdoor National Tournament last week in Fresno, California. The field was made up of 25 individuals in all. Brand's best throw traveled 155 feet, 10 inches.

SAU Track Signs Two More Recruits

SAU recently signed two more local high school athletes to compete for the Bees during the 2007 season. Monmouth's Dustin Renwick signed with SAU on May 3rd, while Mitch Stoermer, who's a native of Morrison signed on May 15th.  They will both bring a lot to the track next season.          (full story)

Appel Named MCC Coach of the Year

It's not where you start, it's where you finish, and SAU's track team finished strong this season. The women finished second at the Midwest Classic Conference Meet, while the men's team placed first for the first time in six years. That men's title earned first year head coach Brianne Appel the Midwest Classic Conference Coach of the Year award. Mount Mercy's Ryan Scheckel earned the MCC coach of the year award on the women's side.

Ten Bees Earn All-Conference Awards

The St. Ambrose Track and Field teams are coming off a very successful conference meet in which the men's team placed first, making them the only SAU team to win conference in their respective sport during the 2006 Spring semester. The women's team finished a close second place, next to Mount Mercy at the MCC meet in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Bees had several members of the team recognized this week for their outstanding seasons as the Midwest Classic Conference released their All-Conference team Monday, featuring ten St. Ambrose athletes.  (full story)

Reagan Earns Second Athlete of the Week Award

SAU's Stephanie Reagan has been named the Midwest Classic Conference Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, this time for her performance in the Dick Young Classic at Grinnell College.

Reagan finished fourth in the 400 meter dash with a conference leading time of 60.39 seconds, and also placed eighth in the 100 meter dash. Reagan also participated in the 4x100 meter and 4x400 meter relay teams

Alvarez, Brand Named Athlete of the Week

Ashley Alvarez and Marcus Brand each earned Conference Athlete of the Week honors for last week's performance at the Loras Mid Week Invitational and Cornell Relays. This is each athlete's second conference athlete of the week award this season.  (full story)

Moline's Daniel Hall Commits To SAU

The St. Ambrose track program and head coach Brianne Appel are proud to announce the signing of track star Daniel Hall from Moline High School. Hall will join a young team that has just two seniors on this year's team.   (full story)
