Queen Bees Drop Third Straight by: Ryan Holtmann Sports Information 11/18/2002 1:43 p.m. On the final day of the Hastings, Neb., Tournament the No. 16 St. Ambrose Queen Bees (2-5) fell to the Doane Tigers (3-2) by the final score of 91-75. Ten different players scored in double figures between the two teams (six Tigers, four Queen Bees). Leading the way for the Queen Bees was Angie Schinstock who had a game highs in points (24) and rebounds (10). Also in double digits for the Queen Bees were Amy Van Dyke with 14, Kerri Alvine with 12 and Kellie Metz with 10. Maggie Hughes had four assists while adding five points and four rebounds. Van Dyke also grabbed eight boards and dished out four assists. All five Tigers' starters scored in double digits, but none topped Amanda Creighton, who was the first player off the bench. She scored 22 points and grabbed seven boards while blocking five Queen Bees shots. Amanda Hanzlik and Heather Nicholson both scored 13 points. Kate Reeson added 12 while grabbing nine boards and Andrea Swanson and Nicky White added 11 and 10, respectively. Nicholson and and Swanson grabbed six rebounds a piece. Nicholson also had four assists and four steals. The Queen Bees were without the services of Kate Tuttle and Michelle Kurth. Both were injured in Friday's game against Hastings. Kurth will return to the lineup for Saturday's game vs. UW-Platteville, while Tuttle is questionable. The Queen Bees will take a week off before traveling to Platteville, Wis., on Saturday, November 23, to face off against UW-Platteville at 7:00 p.m. and will host the Trinity International Trojans on Tuesday, November 26, at Lee Lohman Arena at 7:30 p.m.
