Queen Bees Improve; Back to .500 by: Ryan Holtmann Sports Information 11/10/02 12:18 a.m. The No. 16 St. Ambrose Queen Bees traveled to Lamoni, IA to face a determined Graceland team. The Queen Bees were looking to avenge a Yellow Jackets victory from a year ago. The Queen Bees (2-2) would return the favor by defeating the Yellow Jackets by the score of 67-65. The "Big 3" returned to form. Angie Schinstock has a stellar performance, scoring 25 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Kate Tuttle came away with 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals. And Kellie Metz added 11 points, five rebounds and four assists. Not too far behind was Michelle Kurth who had a stat filled game. She dropped in ten points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out four assists, blocked four shots and snagged two steals. All ten Queen Bees saw action on the night where there were a total of 124 rebounds (40 of those offensive), 147 field goal attempts (58 of those three-point attempts), 58 free throw attempts and 42 turnovers. Dominating the ball on the Yellow Jackets side of the ball was Gennifer Divelbiss. Divelbiss came away with 17 points and grabbed a game high 23 rebounds in 38 minutes of work. "The game really came down to a battle between Schinstock and Divelbiss," head coach Ted Eskildsen, "and Schinstock did some things that I have never seen her do before." Also in double figures for the Yellow Jackets were Kylie Heintz and Michelle Acosta. Heintz added 11 points and eight rebounds and Acosta put in 15 points, five rebounds and six assists. Heintz and Acosta were two of four Yellow Jacket players who fouled out. The game came down to free throws as the Queen Bees made 21 of their 36 attempts while Graceland was 9-for-22 from the charity stripe. The Queen Bees will now travel to Hastings, NE, for the Hastings Tournament, Thursday through Saturday. They will return home November 25 for a battle against Trinity International at 7:30 p.m. at Lee Lohman Arena.
