Tuttle and the Queen Bees All Over the Tigers Senior, Kate Tuttle led the Queen Bees (18-13, 8-3) to a very impressive 91-73 victory over the Iowa Wesleyan Tigers on Senior Day at Lee Lohman Arena. Tuttle finished the day with 11 points, 7 steals and 5 assists. Sufficating defense combined with hot shooting got the Queen Bees out to a 28-4 in the first 11 minutes of the game. The Tigers finished the half with 16 points, while shooting 12% from the field. This was the Queen Bees best defensive performance in a half this season. The Queen Bees shot 51% from the field and were 33-46 from the free-throw line, as Iowa Wesleyan posted 32 fouls. The game had a total of 58 fouls and 69 free-throw attempts. There was also a total of 57 turnovers in the game. Kellie Metz posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Michelle Kurth and Angie Schinstock each added 12 points. Amanda Kraus led the Tigers with 12 points, while Jodie Houchin chipped in with 11. The victory coupled with Mt. Mercy's loss to Viterbo, left the Queen Bees with the #2 seed in the MCC Tournament. They will host Mt. St. Clare Thursday, 7:30 at Lee Lohman Arena.
