Bees move to 3-0 in conference

CLINTON, IOWA-  St. Ambrose won their third conference game in as many games, with a 65-58 win at Franciscan University. The win was the seven in their last eight games.

The Queen Bees and Lady Saints went back and forth in the first half, as there were a total of seven ties. The teams went into the half locked up at 31.

The second half was a different story with the Queen Bees scoring the first bucket and never looked back. St. Ambrose got up 39-33 with 16:10 remaining after Brooke Vallejo hit a jumper. Franciscan was able to cut the lead to three on two different occassions, but could not get any closer.

Jennifer Goetz led the Queen Bees with 22 points to go with her eight rebounds. Angie Schinstock put up another double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. St. Ambrose travels to Grand View on Wednesday.
