Metz, Bees cruise to victory

CLINTON, IOWA- After coming off the bench for the last three games, senior Kellie Metz returned to the starting lineup and came ready to play. Metz led all scorers with 20 points and recorded 10 rebounds to lead the Queen Bees to a 78-51 win over Silver Lake College. 

St. Ambrose got off to a quick start, as they took a 38-25 lead into the half. 

The Queen Bees kept the pressure on in the second half, hitting 8 of 16 3-point attempts. Autumn Salisbury came off the bench and connected on all four of her 3-point attempts.

Four Queen Bees scored in double figures, as the Queen Bees cruised to their seventh victory of the season. Metz led with 20, Salisbury and Jennifer Goetz had 14 each and Angie Schinstock chipped in with 10. 

The Queen Bees outrebounded Silver Lake 45 to 37 and shot 12 of 24 from behind the arc.
