Eskildsen Nets 300th Win

Box Score  12/9/04

It's taken more than 21 years and 579 games, but SAU head coach Ted Eskildsen has finally hit a very important milestone--his 300th career victory.  The Queen Bees (8-6) won Tuesday 83-66 over Trinity Christian (5-7) for their second straight win and the outstanding career achievement for coach Eskildsen.  They were helped by out shooting the Trolls 53% to 31% for the game.

The Queen Bees were led once again by Jennifer Goetz, who scored a team high 19 points, while grabbing 12 rebounds.  Senior Michelle Kurth was the only other SAU player to score in double figures, with ten.  She also added nine rebounds.  Cathy Mangan had a good overall game for SAU, scoring eight points, while collecting five rebounds and dishing out five assists.  The Queen Bees out rebounded The Trolls 48-35.

Trinity Christian was led by Jessica Eenigenburg, who scored a game high 23.  Barbie Heerdt also chipped in with 16 points.  SAU led by just four points at the half, but a 29% shooting percentage in the second half was TCC's downfall, as they were outscored 46-33 in the second half.

The Queen Bees will now go on the road for four games over Christmas break, starting Saturday at Clarke College.  Their next home game will be their conference opener on January 5th, as they'll take on The Franciscan University of the Prairies at 5:30.
