Series History: SAU leads the all-time series 35-5. The Queen Bees have won the last twelve meetings with their last loss coming on February 3, 1999 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Last meeting: The Queen Bees won the last meeting 82-68 on last season’s Senior Day in Davenport. Jennifer Goetz led SAU with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Jena Zientek and Ashlie Maher scored 10 points, as did seniors Michelle Kurth and Kerri Alvine. Kurth also finished with six boards. Camrion Carolan led IWC with 19 points on 9-for-11 shooting. Allison Falls chipped in with 18 points and eight rebounds.

SAU’s Last Time Out: SAU was never in danger Saturday, as they coasted to a 72-53 victory at Mt. Mercy. The Queen Bees shot 60% from the field in the first half, and held the lead for all but 30 seconds of the game. Jennifer Goetz scored 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, while also pulling down nine rebounds. Jena Zientek finished with 12 points and six rebounds.

Looking Ahead: SAU will travel to La Crosse, Wisconsin Saturday to play Viterbo. The V-Hawks are 3-3 in MCC play going into tonight.

Solid As a Rock: One of the most complete players the Queen Bees have had this year has been Jody Wulff. In her last four games, Wulff is averaging 7.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, while also shooting 57% (13-23) from the field.

Defense Steps Up: St. Ambrose has done a good job of stopping their opponents from scoring as of late. SAU is allowing an average of 47 points during their last seven games in which they’ve gone 6-1. The Queen Bees currently rank 10th in Division II in points allowed, giving up 57.2 ppg this season.

Positive Margins: There are just two teams in the MCC that have positive scoring margins this season. Those two teams meet here tonight. SAU leads the conference, outscoring opponents by an average of 6.5 points, while Iowa Wesleyan is second, with a +2.3 scoring margin.

Pass First: Iowa Wesleyan’s Erin McFadden has been getting her teammates involved all season. McFadden is currently second in the nation in assists per game with 6.3. She has recorded double digit assists during four games this season.

Battle on the Boards: Wednesday’s matchup will feature two of the top rebounding teams in the MCC. Iowa Wesleyan leads the conference, averaging 41.4 rebounds per game, while SAU ranks third with 39.2. However, the Queen Bees are first in rebounds allowed, averaging 34.1, while the Tigers rank fifth. SAU also ranks first in rebounding margin, out rebounding opponents by an average of 5.1. IWC isn’t far behind, ranking second in the MCC with a margin of +5.0.
