Goetz Earns Honorable Mention All-American

SAU's Jennifer Goetz finished her junior season this season with several accolades, including passing the 1,000 career point plateau early in the season. Wednesday, Goetz earned yet another honor, as she was named honorable mention All-American for this past season. This marks the second consecutive year that Goetz has been chosen as an honorable mention All-American.

The junior forward, who also earned first team all-conference this season, averaged 17 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game for a Queen Bee team that finished 21-11 and second place in the Midwest Classic Conference. Goetz was the only player in the MCC that ended up in the top ten in points (3rd), rebounds (4th), and assists (10th). Goetz led the Queen Bees in five major categories, including points, rebounds, FG percentage, FT percentage, and blocked shots.

Goetz was named MCC player of the week three times this season. She led the team in double-doubles, recording eleven on the year.  Goetz currently ranks seventh on the school's all-time scoring list and sixth on SAU's all-time rebounding list.

The Keokuk, Iowa native was one of three players from the MCC to make the All-American team. MCC Player of the year, Allison Falls made the third team, representing Iowa Wesleyan. Viterbo's Anne Wilson also joined Goetz on the honorable mention list.
