Goetz Named MCC Player of the Week

The Midwest Classic Conference announced their Player of the Week award Monday, and SAU's Jennifer Goetz received the award on the women's side. This is Goetz's second Player of the Week award this season. Goetz has helped SAU to their best start to a season since their 2000-01 campaign, as the Queen Bees won their ninth consecutive game to raise their record to 9-1.

The Queen Bees won both games they played last week thanks, in part, to Goetz's averages of 22 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and one block per game. The junior from Keokuk, Iowa also shot 62% from the floor, while shooting 57% from three-point range. Goetz also shot 91% from the free throw line, missing just one of her eleven attempts.
