Bees fall again at home tournamentMUSCATINE -- The Bee’s second game of the weekend matched them with a very talented St. Xavier squad. The Visitors came out early and took a 2-0 lead. It stayed that way until freshman Lindy Shaw brought the Bees back into it with a goal thanks to an assist from Amanda Wilford. Unfortunately, the Bees gave up another before the half finished and the visitors went up 3-1. The visitors finished up the 4-1 winners.“I felt we played some of best football in this one, we really moved the ball well but it was disappointing to give up the goals in the way that we did," head coach Jon Mannall said. "We gave up good scoring opportunities by giving that ball away at key times. Little mistakes like this will always be punished by good teams and we felt that today.” |
