Carla Vaske is in her second year as a graduate assistant coach for SAU's Track and Cross Country teams. Carla ran for SAU for three years before becoming the grad assistant. Carla will be the assistant for the men's and women's teams.
While running for St. Ambrose, Carla was named to the 2003 Cross Country All-Conference team as well as the Academic All Conference Team in Track and Cross Country in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
In 2003 Carla received the A.O. Duer Award as well as the Champion of Character Award. She was the team captain for Cross Country her senior year and is looking forward to continuing her leadership as the graduate assistant coach.
Carla is from Freeport, Illinois and was a graduate of Aquin High School in 2000. In May of 2004, Carla earned her undergraduate degree in English from St. Ambrose and is continuing her education in the Masters of Organizational Leadership program.
