The
Giving Clubs
The Ambrose Fund giving
clubs are designed as a comparative guide for individuals of like
age and circumstances. The club levels are:
- The President's Club ($1000 or more)
The President's Club, established in 1984, is designed for those who wish to take a leadership role in support of excellence at St. Ambrose. Giving at this level is symbolic of the dedication and direction provided by the past presidents who have been faithful shepherds of this institution.
- The Founder's Club ($500-$999)
This club is named in memory of those who dedicated their lives to the establishment of St. Ambrose. This club is intended for those alumni and friends who wish to increase their commitment to St. Ambrose.
- The Acorn and Oaks Club ($250-$499)
The Acorn and Oaks Club commemorates the stately old oaks that provided shade and beauty for many generations of Ambrosians.
- The Century Club ($100-$249)
The most basic of the annual fund giving clubs, this club helps
recognize that St. Ambrose has been providing a values-centered
education for more than 100 years and is seen as an incentive
for friends and alumni of all ages and circumstances.
Within the President's Club
are special levels of recognition:
- The President's Club Ambassadors are donors who
support the needs of the university with an annual gift of $2500 to
$4999. Individuals who participate at this level are considered the
mainstay of leadership giving.
- The President's Club
Benefactors are donors who contribute $5000 or more annually to
the University. This club recognizes those individuals
whose commitment to St. Ambrose is a central focus on their
philanthropic interest. And finally the President's Club
Associates are those individuals who have contributed $100,000
or more to St. Ambrose during their lifetime.
- Another level, Colleagues
of the President's Club, is reserved for alumni who have
graduated during the last 10 years. Alumni who graduated during the past five years can qualify for colleague membership with a gift of $250. Alumni who graduated between 6 and 10 years ago can qualify for colleague
membership with a gift of $500.
The St. Ambrose Heritage Roll
of Honor was established in 1978 to recognize individuals who have
included the University in their estate plans, or who have made major
commitments to endowment growth. Today, membership in the Heritage Roll
recognizes donors who give gifts of $5000 or more to the Endowment Fund,
or who notify St. Ambrose of their intentions to make provisions for the
University in their estate plans. Such provisions may include bequests,
trusts, life insurance policies, annuities, securities, gifts of property
or other methods of planned giving.
