    Hours:                                                   8 am-7 pm for the entire campus community (students, faculty, and staff) Students only after 7pm and residents only after 11pm, due to campus Resident Hall policies.

    From 4pm-6pm Sunday -Thursday there will be campus recreation personnel on site to answer questions, give instruction and give you access to small equipment including stability balls, free weights and mats!

    If you would like to use the equipment after 11 pm and do not live in the Residence Hall, please contact Campus Recreation or the hall director of the hall.

Cardio Pockets

What are the Cardio Pockets??

  • The cardio pockets are a joint venture between Campus Recreation and Residence Life.  The pockets contain anywhere from 3-7 pieces of cardio equipment and are available for use by the entire campus community (students, faculty, and staff) regardless if you live in these residence halls.  The hours for each pocket are posted at right.  Please abide by all policies posted below and in the respective cardio rooms

Policies/Procedures


1. The cardio pockets are available for use at your own risk. Each person is     expected to conform to all policies set forth below. The University is not liable for any injury/illness that results from the use of this cardio equipment.


2. If you experience any adverse signs and symptoms during exercise, stop exercising immediately and consult your physician.


3. You must be 16 or older to use the weight room and cardiovascular room.


4. Respect for the facility and equipment MUST be demonstrated at all times.


5. 30-minute limit on all cardio equipment when someone is waiting.


6. Please wipe down the equipment after each use with the provided wipes.


7. Eating or drinking (except water) while using the equipment is prohibited.


8. Athletic shoes must be worn when using the cardio equipment. Dress shoes, sandals, flip-flops, open-toed shoes, bare or stocking feet are not allowed.


9. ATHLETIC CLOTHES ONLY! NO street clothes or work clothes will be permitted. This includes jeans, dress or khaki pants, dress shirts or blouses, skirts, or dresses.


10. Portable stereos may be used with headphones only.


11. Please report all equipment malfunctions, personal injuries and specific concerns immediately to Campus Recreation or your Hall Director.


12. Campus Recreation and Residence Life are not responsible for lost/stolen items.


13. Disorderly conduct, abuse or misuse of the equipment, or disregard for the policies will not be tolerated.


14. Violators will be required to leave the facility and may be subject to disciplinary action and/or payment for damages.


15. Violators of the above policy may also be suspended from using the facilities as determined by the Campus Recreation Department and/or the Residence Life Department.
