1/07/09 Financial Development Specialist Part-time 20 hours/weej, grant funded position. Position description: The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The Financial Development Specialist is a new part-time position and results from strong revenue growth in grant awards, and direct mail and major gifts through effective stewardship. Under the guidance of the Director of Public Support, the Financial Development Specialist’s major focus is grants management and United Way applications. This position will be responsible for researching and writing grant applications and coordinating the grants management and reporting process. It will also be responsible for the United Way applications across the eight-county chapter area. The position is budgeted for 20 hours per week.
