National Science Foundation Noyce Scholarship

NoyceThrough the National Science Foundation, the Robert Noyce Scholarship program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science teachers. The program provides funds to institutions of higher education to support scholarships, stipends and programs for teacher candidates who commit to teaching in high-need K-12 schools.

To help ease an impending shortage of highly qualified high school math and science teachers in the Quad Cities region, St. Ambrose has partnered with local school districts to provide scholarships and resources in the classroom to students pursuing secondary education degrees in science and math.

Qualified candidates who are juniors or seniors may receive between $7,500 to $10,000 per academic year.
