The St. Ambrose University Children’s Campus (SAUCC) provides a comprehensive early childhood program for children age 6 weeks to 6 years, with or without disabilities, as well as educational experiences and resources for families.
The campus serves as the university's lab site for students enrolled in St. Ambrose's early childhood education and special education, which stress excellence in teaching and learning in an environment that fosters mutual trust. SAU Children’s Campus is also a demonstration site for childcare centers and pre-schools in the Quad Cities.
In the fall of 2008, the Children's Campus is seeking accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which represents the mark of quality in early childhood education. To achieve NAEYC Accreditation, early childhood education programs are voluntarily measured against the NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards.
