Parent's Council
NEXT MEETING: Thursday, Oct. 8, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Meetings are monthly and convene in the large motor room, downstairs in the Children's Campus. Childcare is provided and free pizza is served for children and parents attending.

Parent Council Meeting Minutes from 9-10-09

Treasury
*Balance is $2254.08
*Paypal has been set up for scrip payment. There is a 1.5% charge, so let's try cash or check first
Communication Committee
*Denise reported we will need to retype and are not able to export information, may need to get permission from families to have the information listed.
*Denise also will be sending home book orders, you can order online or through Tami
Fundraising
*Bumble Rumble on October 10th, need volunteers. Have secured a bounce house from Bounce Town and will be discuss having a school night for SAUCC there next month. Need 6 people to work activities, set up at 7:30, over by 11:00
*Will be sending Pizza Hut coupons to big campus next month
*Trivia night November 7th. Need runners, a worker at the gift basket table, and to play
*Golf outing at LeClaire Olathea 9 hole course was reported by John Conner. $50.00/person, we get $20.00. Will plan date and plan to have sign-ups at trivia night
*Kelly has raised $600 in support of her marathon she will be running! Will be visiting classrooms and talking with children.
SAUCC Updates from Deb
*National Accreditation awarded:)
*Teacher swill narrow down choices for the name of the outdoor classroom and kids and families will vote
Volunteer Activities
*Discussed volunteer implementation, set for October
*Discussed each classroom having a basket theme and collecting items for trivia night baskets
Social Activities
*Picnic will be rescheduled and will be held at SAUCC with possibility of having a bounce house
*Introduced SAU bookstore gift ideas: backpacks, lunch boxes, t-shirts, and art kit. Will be used as graduate gifts
*Coats for Kids- need gently used coats, mittens, and hats
