Customizing the Course Menu
- In the Course Options section of the Control Panel,
click Manage Course Menu.
- In the Add section, do any of the following:
- To add a new content area, click the Content
Area button, Click the arrow on the Name box and
select the content area you want to add.
- To add a new tool link, click the Tool Link
button. Click the arrow on the Type box and select
the tool link you want to add.

- To add a new course link,
click the Course
Link button. Enter a name in the Name box, click
the Browse button and select a course location.
- To add a new external link,
or External
Link button. Enter a name in the Name box and
enter a full Web site address in the URL box.
- Optional: Select additional options.
- Click the Submit button and click the OK
button.
Note: To reorder the items in the Course Menu, click the arrow
on the number box and select an order number. To remove an item from
the Course Menu, click the Remove button and click the OK
button.
Customizing the Course Menu
Design
- In the Course Options section of the Control Panel,
click Course Design.
- Select Course Menu Design.
- Select Buttons.
- Click the arrow on the Button Type box and select a
button type from the resulting menu.
- Select a Button Shape.
- Select a Button Style in the box. (Click the
Gallery of Buttons shortcut to view all button styles in a
separate window.)
- Click the Submit button and click the OK
button.
Note: To customize the course menu using text only, select
Text and select a background and text color.
Adding a Course Banner

Click the
Control Panel
shortcut in
the Course
Menu.

Under
Content Areas,
click Course
Information,
Course
Documents,
or
Assignments
to add content.

Click the
Item button.
-
Enter a name
for the content
in the Name
box.

Optional:
Click the
Pick button
next to the
Choose Color of
Name box and
select a color
from the
resulting color
palette.

Enter text
in the Text
box.
(Click the
Paste button
to paste text
from another
file.)

Optional:
To attach a
file, click the
Browse
button next to
the Attach
local file
box. Locate and
select the file
you want to
attach, and
click the
Open button.
Select
additional file
options in the
Content
section.

Optional:
Select
options in the
Options in the
Options
section.

Click the
Submit
button and click
the OK
button.
