This workshop covers the basic of adding documents and other content to Blackboard course sites. How to organize materials and discussion boards will be included.

Pronto:
Is a free instant messaging and voice chat tool (inside Blackboard) that allows students and instructors to spontaneously meet live online at any time  to discuss their coursework.  Pronto works with Blackboard to automatically populate students' contact lists with their classmates  making it easy for students to spontaneously collaborate live online.

Assignment Feature:
The Assignments feature was created to streamline the submission of students' files, and to organize those files for retrieval through the instructor's Gradebook.

Quizzes/Tests:
Blackboard's assessment features provide instructors with a form for building online assessments using different question types. These assessments provide students with immediate feedback, are automatically graded, (with the exception of essay questions), and scores are logged into the online gradebook. Instructors can use the Assessment features to test student knowledge, measure student progress, and gather information from students.

Elluminate (Held in Cosgrove 24):

How to Use Elluminate: As a piece of "collaborative software," Elluminate allows  people from all over the world to meet in an online virtual classroom and interact in real time. Within Elluminate you can engage in voice chatting (through voice-over IP), instant messaging, interactive whiteboard, polling, quizzing, application/desktop sharing, web touring, file sharing, video conferencing, and session archiving. Common uses of Elluminate include live       instruction, training events, meetings, office hours, orientations, web conferences, etc.

Intro to Office 2007(Held in Ambrose 422):
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the new Microsoft Office interface and some new features of Word, Outlook.  Compatibility issues and file formats will be discussed. If you like what you see -- IT will install Office 2007 on your computer after you attend one of the workshops.
