What software do I need to make Elluminate work on my computer?
You will need speakers and a microphone connected to
your system. Yes, you can also use a headset that has both a
microphone and speakers built together. There are links on
this site that allow you to setup your audio and test your system at
anytime. Elluminate also guides you through connection tests
and helps you install Java if you do not already have it on
your computer.

Do I need a webcam?
A webcam is not required. The instructor will
let you know if you need to have one. If your instructor is using
one, you will be able to view the webcam images even though you do
not have one connected to your system. Top
How do I
raise my hand in class?
There is a small icon that is a raised hand which you
select to show your instructor/moderator that you have raised your
hand to talk. Top
What is
direct messaging?
It is a chat window that you can use to type a
question that will in the class. Note: you can send it to
selected classmates, but all messages are seen by the moderator.
