Tip #1: Setting Your Connection Speed
Setting your connection speed allows Elluminate's Collaborative Communications Framework (CCF) to ensure the data stream sent to you is specifically for the connection you have, whether it's a 28.8Kbps dialup modem or high-speed LAN.

The first time you join an Elluminate Live! session, the "Select connection speed" dialog box appears, prompting you to select the connection speed that you'll be using: 28.8 Kbps Dialup, 33.6 Kbps Dialup, 56 Kbps Dialup, ISDN, Cable/DSL, or LAN. When you exit the session, the connection speed is automatically saved with your preferences.

During your session, if your connection speed slows for any reason (for example network congestion) or you are disconnected, the Elluminate Live! server may be sending you more information than your connection can process. If this occurs, first verify that you have the correct connection speed set.

1. Open the Preferences dialog under the Tools menu/Preferences.
2. Select Connection and choose the correct speed from the Connection Speed drop-down menu.

If you continue to experience delays, lower your connection speed to ensure your computer is not sent too much information too quickly. For more information visit our training website
