Renay Robison-Scheer

Renay has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  She is also a certified Economic Development Finance Professional and Business Recruitment and Retention Consultant as well as a graduate of the Economic Development Institute.  She has sixteen years experience in management of economic development programs. Before becoming involved in economic development, she was a business owner, co-owning movie theaters and video stores in Cozad and Fairbury, Nebraska.

 

Prior to joining DavenportOne, Renay was with the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District for thirteen years, nine of which she served as executive director.  During her tenure, Ms. Robison-Scheer implemented many new programs including a business revolving loan fund and housing development loan program.   Renay has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Development Organizations and many other state and local development groups.  She represented the District in the German Marshall Fund economic developer exchange program with former East German states. 

 

Renay has received many honors over her career including the Nebraska Jaycee’s Outstanding Young Nebraskan, Fairbury Business and Professional Women’s Young Careerist, and recognized as one of the Norfolk Daily News 20 Under 40 leaders in the community.
