Using logic, theoretical reasoning and common sense, the
economists of the world analyze and provide perspective on the different
choices people make, both in business and their everyday lives. As an economics major
at St. Ambrose, you'll be able to combine an education in liberal arts
with economic theory to determine why people behave the way they do –
and thereby address the many challenges such behavior produces in an
increasingly global economy.
Economics graduates from St. Ambrose have taken
rewarding positions in
- financial service companies
- insurance firms
- lending organizations
- entrepreneurship
- marketing and environmental agencies
- production and manufacturing companies.
Economics Major: 18 semester hours in economics
above ECON 201 and 202, including ECON 312 and 313.
Economics Minor: ACCT 201, 202; STBE 337; ECON
201, 202; twelve additional credits in 300-level or higher economics.
