individual investors and corporate managers through intense evaluation of
identifying investment opportunities.
A
business administration degree in finance from St. Ambrose can expand into
a variety of careers:
- asset managers
- portfolio managers
- controllers
- stockbrokers
- investment bankers
- real estate and financial planners
Courses
Finance Major: FNCE 301,302; and complete a concentration in one of
the following: Financial Institutions, Corporate, or Finance and
Economics.
Finance Minor: ACCT 201, 202; STBE 337; ECON 201,
202; FNCE 300, 301, 302; three of the following: FNCE 401, 491 or FNCE/ECON
402, 403, 492.
Financial Institutions Concentration: ECON 313; FNCE 402;
FNCE/ECON
403, 492; one of the following: FNCE 401, ECON 312 or 327. This sequence
will earn a major in finance and a minor in economics.
Corporate Concentration: ACCT 301, 302, 307; FNCE 401, 491; one of the
following: ACCT 306 or 401.
Finance and Economics Concentration: ECON 312, 313; two of the
following: FNCE 402, FNCE/ECON 403 or 492; two of the following: ECON 323,
325 or 327. Must also have taken MATH 191 and STBE 305. This sequence will
earn majors in both economics and finance.
