St. Ambrose University

ACCEL Program Admissions

ACCEL applicants must be at least 23 years of age, have a minimum of three years work experience and 24 transferrable semester credit hours completed at an accredited institution with a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Individuals who do not meet all of these academic criteria may petition the Admissions Standards Committee for consideration.

The admissions process begins when you inquire or apply to the ACCEL program. From here you are invited to attend an information session at the Continuing Studies Conference Center, 1950 E. 54th St, Davenport, IA, where our courses are held. Information sessions last about 45 minutes and are a chance for you to obtain a complete overview of our program, discuss degree programs and course schedules, learn about financial aid and costs, have any questions answered, and see some of our facilities and classrooms first hand. Click here for a listing of upcoming information sessions.  The next step is to request that your official transcripts be sent from each college or university you have attended in the past to the St. Ambrose University ACCEL Program. Based on your English and mathematics coursework, you may be required to complete the COMPASS placement tests before being fully admitted. Students seeking to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing through our RN to BSN program must also provide us a valid copy of their nursing license.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the admissions process or the status of your application, please contact Justin Ball, Director of Admissions and Marketing, at (563) 441-9500 or balljustin@sau.edu.
